JD (Oklahoma) LL.M. (Tulsa) Michelle “Shelly” Grunsted is an Associate Professor at Price College of Business. Professor Grunsted teaches in the areas of undergraduate Legal Environment of Business, Real Property Law, Law of Business Organizations along with International Business Law at the graduate and undergraduate level. Professor Grunsted also teaches Employment Law for the graduate programs. She has served as Executive Director of the Center for Student Success, Professor Grunsted was also the previous Director of the First Fidelity Integrated Business Core (IBC) program in which student companies develop, market, advertise and sell products throughout the semester long program. The proceeds from the First Fidelity IBC program are distributed to a local charity of the student company’s choice. Students also perform valuable community service by also selecting an organization in which the students volunteer hours throughout the semester.

Professor Grunsted’s work has appeared in many publications such as the Michigan Law Review Journal of Gender and Law, Oklahoma Law Review, the Tulsa Law Review and the National Sovereignty Symposium. Professor Grunsted's research focuses in areas of employment law, education Law and educational curriculum, in addition to federal/state/tribal court jurisdictional issues including full faith and credit. Professor Grunsted has consulted with several Native American tribes in the areas of land and economic development, grant writing and implementation, and the design and implementation of tribal court regulatory and civil codes.
