Jon Warzel has a diverse energy industry background formed from over 25 years of domestic and international experience in the exploration & producing, midstream, refining, LNG, petrochemical and gas-to-liquids business segments. His roles have ranged from individual contributor to lobbyist to executive level. Key responsibilities have included field operations, process engineering, strategic evaluation and business planning, P&L management, business development, market analysis and commodity price forecasting. In his current role, Jon is focused on developing projects and sources of carbon dioxide for Chaparral Energy to be utilized in their enhanced oil recovery (EOR) projects. Prior to Chaparral, Jon was a Vice President at Devon Energy, primarily responsible for market analysis, commodity price projections, planning and evaluation. Earlier in his career he spent over 10 years consulting to a variety of global organizations (refining, petrochemical, LNG) on topics ranging from process engineering and optimization to organizational structure and commercial development.
Jon is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He and his wife, Deanna, live in Edmond, Oklahoma.
