Specialization description

The PhD in Business Administration with a specialization in MIS program at the Michael F. Price College of Business focuses on the managerial and organizational aspects of MIS to leverage both the expertise of the MIS research faculty and the related management and marketing doctoral programs. Applicants to the program are expected to have developed a firm understanding of information technology through either prior degree programs or work experiences. The PhD in Business Administration with specialization in MIS program is a full-time doctoral program aimed at preparing its graduates for academic careers at major research universities. Program highlights include:

 

  • Small, selective program, with an average of six students in residence
  • Relatively recent program (began in 1999) with a record of successful placement (seven graduates to date)
