Matthew L. Jensen (Ph.D., University of Arizona, 2007) is the W.P. Wood Professor of Management Information Systems and a co-Director of the Center for Applied Social Research at the University of Oklahoma.

Professor Jensen's interests include computer-aided decision-making, human-computer interaction, knowledge management, and computer-mediated communication. He leads interdisciplinary teams investigating how people filter and evaluate information they find online. He focuses on understanding processes people use to attribute credibility in mediated and AI-assisted interactions.

Professor Jensen's research has been published in MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of MIS, Information Systems Journal, European Journal of Information Systems, and various IEEE journals. His interdisciplinary research has been published in Communication Research, Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication, and Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology. Jensen has also been the Primary Investigator or co-Primary Investigator on research projects totaling more than $9.7 million sponsored by the National Science Foundation, Air Force Office of Scientific Research, and several other federal agencies.
