PRICE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ALUMNA SHIBANI JOSHI - FOX BUSINESS NETWORK ANCHOR TO SPEAK ON CAMPUS

NORMAN – Shibani Joshi, correspondent and anchor with FOX Business Network, will be the featured speaker in the Price College of Business Kanaly Lecture Series, scheduled for Friday, March 8, at the University of Oklahoma. A question-and-answer session will follow the public lecture, which is set for 10:30 a.m. in the Mary Eddy and Fred Jones Auditorium at the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art, 555 Elm Ave.

Joshi joined FOX Business Network in 2007 as a reporter, bringing with her experience in investment banking, strategy and business development developed during her career as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley. She worked on merger, acquisition and corporate finance deals in the real estate sector for the company. Joshi also served as senior manager in strategy and business development at Disney/ABC Media Networks, where she worked on the launch of ABC News Now and helped develop the firm’s global digital media strategy.

Joshi left the corporate world in 2006 to pursue journalism as a news production assistant at CNNfn, where she contributed to Lou Dobbs Moneyline and CNN Money Morning. She also has experience as a producer in New York at Reuters Television and TIMES NOW, the joint venture news channel with The Times of India, where she was responsible for producing news packages and interviews broadcast all over India. Joshi has acted as co-host for several South Asian programs and contributed to ABCNews.com, covering business and technology stories.

A native of Oklahoma City, Joshi is a 1998 Price College graduate with a degree in finance and accounting. She also holds an MBA degree from Harvard Business School.

The Kanaly Lecture Series, which is open to the public without charge, is offered through the Price College of Business. The lecture series is named in honor of the late E. Deane Kanaly, founder and chairman of Kanaly Trust Co., who earned his OU business degree in 1952 and his MBA in 1953. The lecture series is funded through the generous support of his wife, Virginia L. Kanaly, who also is an OU business graduate.
