Ryan Desmond is a partner at Western Retail Advisors, a full-service retail brokerage firm specializing in tenant and landlord representation, master brokerage and investment sales. Desmond applies his extensive retail leasing and development expertise to lead Western Retail Advisors’ Landlord Representation team. Desmond previously worked with premier retail development firms Vestar in Phoenix and First Washington Realty in Washington D.C., where he gained broad industry understanding overseeing leasing, development and acquisition efforts.
His background includes the successful acquisition of regional power and lifestyle centers, the completion of large ground-up development projects of 700,000 to 1 million square feet and the successful leasing of over 8 million square feet of retail space.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors from Loyola Marymount University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Ryan is an involved member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and is active in the community through his roles on the boards of the Heard Museum and the HBS Alumni Club of Arizona.
