Institutional Research provides information to the university
community, the state regents, other Big 12 institutions, and numerous
local, regional and national agencies and businesses. The majority
of the information provided by Institutional Research begins with data
from the mainframe production administrative application systems. The
departments owning these administrative systems need to be aware of
how their data are being used to provide information to external and
internal constituents. Communication is the key to keeping the information
provided by Institutional Research accurate. To facilitate more timely
communication between IR and the departments who control these mission
critical administrative applications, PACAIR was created as a formal
advisory group to Institutional Research.
This committee consists of staff from the administrative offices whose
duties include data definition, system design and implementation for
their respective areas and the team leaders from Information Technology. |
