OU to Announce GEAR UP Grants
The announcement will outline new federal grants from the U.S. Department of Education that support Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) partnerships that will help students in rural, suburban and Oklahoma City public school districts across the state prepare for and pursue post-secondary educational opportunities. This event will bring together representatives from 46 school districts who will receive support and programming from these grants as well as the dean of the Rainbolt College of Education, directors from the K20 Center and other parties interested in the betterment of education in Oklahoma.
Who: Gregg Garn, dean of the Rainbolt College of Education and the executive director of the K20 Center, University of Oklahoma, directors of the K20 Center and representatives from 46 partner public school districts in Oklahoma.
