Office of Institutional Research and Reportiong site containing official enrollment numbers for current and past semesters and related student data, information on faculty and staff, and historical information about the University of Oklahoma

oZONE portal project site To streamline online processes for OU students, faculty and staff, OU recently launched the oZONE portal, the largest technological effort in its history. The portal will eventually provide personalized, one-stop, single sign-on Web-based access to the university’s student information resources. It will unify multiple stand-alone systems currently operating on campus in one point of access and will simplify the way everyone at the university interacts with student data and systems. One of the main features of the oZONE portal will be the new system being developed to replace the current mainframe student information systems.

CICS Student Records System Instruction Manual updated May 2, 2005- PDF format - Contains explanations of student information inquiry, special permissions, registration system, student permanent records, master course inventory, advisement and degree audit, transfer evaluation system, course pre-requisite inquiry.

Request for CICS Services form CICS (Customer Information Control System) is the system most commonly used by administrative personnel for accessing student records information on the IBM enterprise server. The use of CICS by various offices on the Norman Campus requires that access be limited to personnel with needs for specific information. The terminals used must be located in secured monitored areas such that confidential information which might be displayed is not viewable by unauthorized persons.

Admissions & Records Approval of Access to Student Record System form Access to student records system transactions determines which informational screens each person is allowed to view and the update authority they possess for that information. An example of this is the RA20 screen which contains student information; many offices on campus have access authority to view this information but only Admissions and Records has the update authority necessary to change much of this information.
