Regent Dunning was appointed in 2007 by Governor Brad Henry to serve a seven-year term on the Board of Regents. He earned a Bachelor in Geological Studies from The University of Oklahoma in 1977. Mr. Dunning founded Indian Oil Company in April 1981 and is currently the President and CEO of Indian Exploration Company, LLC in Oklahoma City. He is a member of the Oklahoma Judicial Nominating Committee, the Advisory Committee of the School of Geology and Geophysics in the OU College of Earth and Energy, OIPA, Wildcatters Club, is a Board member of Friends of the Mansion and previously served on the Governor's Energy Board. He and his wife are the sole benefactors of the Keystone Adventure School and Farm, an art-based, multi-aged and project-oriented elementary school and working farm that addresses the needs of each child in the unique way that he or she learns. Mr. Dunning and his wife, Jennifer (also an OU graduate), live in Oklahoma City and have six children.
