OU RELS Student Cole Stephenson and Rabbi Bradley Hirschfield,
of the Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership in New York,
debate with other OU students what religious symbols and identification
might say about us: how different are we, and how much alike?
This discussion took place in Barcelona, Spain, at the Parliament
of the World's Religions in 2005. A documentary film called Freaks
Like Me resulted from this interaction of OU students enrolled
in RELS 3643, Study Abroad,
and Rabbi Hirschfield, which premiered at the University of Oklahoma
in February of 2005. For more information on the Program's relationship
with Rabbi Hirschfield, see http://www.ou.edu/religiousstudies/outreach.htm

Courses
approved for the Religious Studies degree Program
Please note: room assignments could change. This is the most
up-to-date information we have available, but prior to the first
day of classes students should check the online enrollment system
for the actual location and time of each course. This list is
designed to demonstrate only what courses are available for use
in the RELS major/minor and in what sections those courses fit.
Any other information is updated occasionally but is not definitive.
For questions about locations consult the online enrollment system
at https://enroll.ou.edu/oe.
Thank you.
Not all courses containing religious content are approved for
use in our major. Please do not assume that a course, whether
at OU or some other institution, will count towards the RELS major
or minor without our approval. If a course is not listed here,
it may be that it was added to the online enrollment system after
we compiled this list, or it may be that the course has not met
our criteria for inclusion. If you have questions, contact the
Program at 325-3349, or rels@ou.edu.
