Interactive Dashboards
The Office of Research Services dashboard for sponsored research data, built on Microsoft Power BI, allows export of information filtered by selections of Principal Investigator, School/Department, College/Division, and Sponsor. Awards and proposals project records start from FY 2012 until the latest full month available. Updates for the most recent month occur on or before the 15th. Expenditure data is based on Financial Support Services’ annual Department-PI expense reports from FY 2006 to the most recent full fiscal year. It is updated by the end of July. Tabs at the bottom of the screen allow users to toggle among the three data reports.
Users must log in with their OU 4x4 and corresponding OU IT account password. This guide can help with login and export of records. Two choices of export are available: 1) summarized records with essential project fields, and 2) underlying records with those fields plus sponsor type, PI position title, and codes for department and college. Both choices will generate the same number of records with the same PI amount sum.
For login assistance with the dashboard, or awards and proposal data prior to FY 2012, contact the ORS Data Manager at 405-325-2380 or jsummers@ou.edu. For expense reports prior to FY 2006, contact Ernest Abrogar at 405-325-3932 or erabrogar@ou.edu.

Research Metrics Dashboard
The RSA Group tracks multiple measures to gauge the success of the Norman campus research enterprise as befitting a comprehensive research institution with strengths across the academic spectrum. Likewise, the annual Dashboard of Research Metrics examines a variety of impacts of research, including research spending (which reflects intensity of activity), the use of OU research papers by other researchers, the hiring of graduate assistants, and the recognition of original and quality thought in the form of awarded fellowships.
