The Walter "Waddy" Young Squadron of Arnold Air Society (AAS)
The Walter R "Waddy" Young Squadron of Arnold Air Society strives to build outstanding leaders for the future.
Our namesake is Captain Walter R. “Waddy” Young. Originally a football player at OU, he joined the Army Air Corps during WWII and was assigned to the B-29 Super Fortress. His plane was shot down over Tokyo, Japan on 9 January 1945; all on board were killed in action.
We believe in the United States Air Force Core Values:
- Integrity First
- Service Before Self
- Excellence In All We Do
As Arnold Air Society Members we live and follow these values every day.
