A cadet color guard stands at parade rest before advancing onto the field
during the start of a University of Oklahoma football game. One of the
many responsibilities assumed by the Army ROTC unit at OU is to provide
ceremonial details and color guards for sporting events, commemorations
of national holidays, and veterans' rememberances.
Contrary to popular belief, the ROTC curriculum is not confined to a classroom. ROTC cadets, as future Army officers, participate in numerous local events from field training to formals as well as state and national events like the Oklahoma City Marathon, the Bataan Memorial Death March, and the All Army Small Arms Championships. From this page, you can view pictures of OU ROTC cadets participating in a variety of activities, both on and off campus.
