Green to Gold Scholarships
The Green to Gold Program is intended for Soldiers currently serving on active duty with at least two years of active duty experience (waivers may be requested for less time in service). Depending on the number of previously earned college credits, Soldiers who apply for the Green to Gold program may receive two, three, or four year scholarships. Those Soldiers who have sufficient college credits may be given credit for the ROTC Basic Course and placed in the ROTC Advanced Course as an MS III cadet.
For qualified Soldiers, securing a Green to Gold scholarship is not difficult, and the benefits are the sames as those received by other scholarship cadets, including:
- 100% tuition and mandatory fees paid.
- $600 per semester book allowance ($1200 annually).
- Monthly stipend of $300 for first year students, $350 for second year students, $450 for third year students, and $500 for fourth year students.
- G.I. Bill benefits, if you: are entitled through your enlistment contract; have served at least 20 months of a two year enlistment or 30 months of a 3 or more year enlistment; have not already used all of your GI Bill benefits. (The current GI Bill rate is $1109 per month.)
