NROTC Scholarship Application
There are several scholarship opportunities available through the NROTC program at Oklahoma University. All scholarships provide the same financial benefits, require the same minimum active duty service obligation, and have similar eligibility requirements. However, each scholarship is designed for a different group of students, and they are generally broken down by 1) educational level at the time of application, and 2) professional interest. Briefly, the available scholarships are:
NOTE: The scholarships listed here are not available to active duty military personnel. Active duty Navy personnel should apply for the STA-21 program, and active duty Marine Corps personnel should apply for the MECEP program.
National Four-Year NROTC Scholarship
- When to apply: Prior to completing 30 credit hours of college course work
- Deadline: February prior to enrollment
- Available communities: Navy and Marine Corps

NROTC College Program
- When to apply: Freshman year
- Deadline: must apply prior to start of either Fall or Spring semester
- Available communities: Navy and Marine Corps
- How to apply: Recruiting Officer (Armory bldg, Norman campus)
National Two-Year NROTC Scholarship
- When to apply: Sophomore year
- Deadline: March
- Available Communities: Navy and Marine Corps
- How to apply: Recruiting Officer (Armory bldg, Norman campus)
Tweeddale Scholarship
- When to apply: Freshman or Sophomore year
- Deadline: Prior to commencing Junior year
- Available Communities: Navy only

NOTE: The following additional minimum requirements apply to the Tweeddale Scholarship.
- Must choose a major in one of the following categories:
- Engineering (any)
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Computer Science
- Must have completed at least one, but not more than four academic terms of college course work
- Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, or greater than the average GPA for the academic major, whichever is higher
- Must have at least a 'C' or better for all courses attempted
- Must have completed at least one course in college level math or science
- Must demonstrate a strong high school background in math/science, and, if calculus was attempted, must have earned a 'B' or better
