For 76 years Sooner Scandals has been one of the most beloved traditions at the University of Oklahoma, managing to dramatically evolve while retaining its original magic. A musical revue composed of seven Broadway-style acts directed and performed entirely by OU students, Sooner Scandals is one of the ultimate showcases of our students' creativity.
The public on sale dates and times for the 76th Annual CAC Sooner Scandals are as follows:
Thursday, March 14th @ 10AM (for the Thursday, April 4th Performance @ 8PM)
Thursday, March 14th @ 11AM (for the Friday, April 5th Performance @ 8PM)
Thursday, March 14th @ Noon (for the Saturday, April 6th Performance @ 3PM)
Thursday, March 14th @ 1PM (for the Saturday, April 6th Performance @ 7PM)
The 76th Annual CAC Sooner Scandals will be housed in the Reynolds Performing Arts Center in Historic Holmberg Hall. For ticket sales, please visit Stubwire, which can be accessed by clicking the link below.
Tickets will be $18 for the Thursday evening performance and $20 for every other performance after (Friday evening, Saturday matinee, & Saturday evening) - plus tax & applicable fees. Only four tickets may be purchased at a time.
The Awards Show will be held after the final show on Saturday evening, doors typically open around 10PM and this is first come, first serve.

Kerensa McMurphy is a senior Psychology major with a Sociology minor. She first got involved with Sooner Scandals her sophomore year as a vocal consultant and later served the following year as the Executive Vice Chair. Kerensa's love for the fine arts stems from her involvement with musical theatre throughout her childhood and high school years. "I am beyond excited for Sooner Scandals 2019! Every year the show continues to reach a higher level of performance excellence, and I cannot wait to see how the magic of Sooner Scandals sparks new friendships, memories and a love for the fine arts in to the students and Norman community!”

Riley McGinnis is a junior Drama major and has worked as the awards show coordinator for Sooner Scandals for the past two years. She is so excited to get to have a larger role in this wonderful sooner tradition that has made such an impact on her. She first got involved in Scandals because of her passion for seeing shows grow and come together. Her favorite part of Scandals is seeing different groups from across campus come together to make not only impressive acts, but friendships and memories to last a lifetime. She can’t wait to help make Sooner Scandals 2019 the best one yet.
Executive Vice Chair/Vice Chair of Sponsorship
Hope Burkhalter is a Junior studying Letters and Political Science with a minor in Constitutional Studies. She first got involved in Sooner Scandals as a cast member of a competing act as a freshman, and served on the sponsorship committee as a sophomore. Hope’s love for the fine arts stems from a deep rooted family interest and participation in the arts since her childhood. “Music has always been an integral part of who I am. Having performed throughout my life, I knew Sooner Scandals was the perfect organization to maintain my love for the arts throughout my college experience. I am honored to serve as the Executive Vice Chair for Scandals 2019 and cannot wait to watch the shows deep rooted tradition reach new heights. I am blown away every year by the acts dedication, creativity and, aspiration for excellence. I am forever thankful for the experience, skills, and lifelong friendships I have gained through Sooner Scandals.

Christine Butterfield is a junior and is a marketing major. She first got involved with Sooner Scandals her freshman year when she joined the cast of an organization. Christine had such an amazing and fun experience that she decided to serve on the executive council on the sponsorship committee. Her love for scandals grew as she made lasting bonds with others on exec and saw how much the event positively impacted the community. “Sooner Scandals is such a special event that celebrates amazing talent and creative ideas. I love being a part of an organization that allows people to build strong relationships no matter if they are in the cast or on exec! Scandals has given me friendships that will last forever and memories I will never forget.”

Justin Norris is a sophomore studying Vocal Performance and Marketing with a non-profit emphasis. He first got involved in Sooner Scandals his freshman year as a vocal consultant on the performance committee, and is excited to continue his involvement in this amazing OU tradition. Justin discovered his passions for the fine arts when he joined choir in elementary school, and has since been a part of numerous choirs, instrumental ensembles, and musicals. His favorite aspect of Scandals is watching participants build beautiful friendships that they may not had found otherwise! “Serving on the Sooner Scandals Executive Committee combines two of my greatest passions: service and performance. Being able to unite this amazing community under an umbrella of singing, dancing and acting is beyond rewarding. I am humbled and excited to serve as the Vice Chair of Community Engagement and am eager to share the beauty of Sooner Scandals with as many students as possible!”

Kaylee Gillespie is a Vocal Performance major with a Photography minor. She first got involved in Sooner Scandals serving as a vocal consultant her freshman year, then served as the Assistant to the Vice Chair of Performance her sophomore year, then later served as head director for her organization her junior year. “Sooner Scandals has always been a substantial part of my college career and it has shown me how to be myself and also lead well. It has also given me friendships I will never let go of and it has let me see other friendships develop throughout the years. It’s a very special event and I never imagined Sooner Scandals creating such a positive atmosphere for those involved on all sides no matter if you’re in a cast or on exec. I am so honored to serve as a Vice Chair this year and Scandals 2019 can’t come fast enough.”
