To encourage research and study of the EU, the EU Center sponsors a number of Fellowships and Grants for faculty and students at universities in the Southwest. Curriculum development grants help faculty develop new courses on the European Union. Research fellowships help graduate and undergraduate students carry out research for theses or dissertations.

Faculty Research Fellowship For Research on the European Union
The European Union Center at the University of Oklahoma is pleased to announce competition for a fellowship to be awarded to a faculty member during Summer 2002. The fellowship will provide up to $2,400 to reimburse travel, lodging, per diem and photocopy expenses. It is intended to allow the recipient to spend two weeks at the University of Pittsburgh's European Union Center and depository library.

To be eligible:

· Applicants must be a faculty member at any university represented by the Network of Fellows of the EU Center at the University of Oklahoma. For a list of eligible universities, please visit the website at:

· Applications must focus on any aspect of the economic, legal, political, or social development of the European or its member states (including applicant countries).

2004 The European Union Center at the University of Oklahoma is pleased to announce competition for a fellowship to be awarded to a graduate student during Summer 2004. The fellowship will provide up to $4,000 to reimburse travel, lodging, per diem and photocopy expenses. It is intended to allow the recipient to conduct a short-term visit (4-6 weeks) to Brussels and/or an EU member state to conduct research relating to a master's thesis or doctoral dissertation.

To be eligible:

· Applicants must be a graduate student in good standing at any university represented by the Network of Fellows of the EU Center at the University of Oklahoma. For a list of eligible universities, please visit the website at: http://www.ou.edu/eucenter/SouthwesternNetwork.htm

· Applications must be working on a research project focusing on any aspect of the economic, legal, political, social, or historical development of the European Union or its member states (including applicant countries).

Summer 2004 The European Union Center at the University of Oklahoma announces its curriculum development grants for summer 2004. Two grants of up to $2,800 each are available for faculty to develop new courses or expand or enhance existing courses on European Union affairs. Faculty in any discipline are eligible. Please send a one-page letter of application explaining the purpose of the grant request, along with a detailed budget, to:
