Repeat Policy

Policy set forth by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education that allow for the exclusion from the retention GPA of hours of repeated courses in which the original grade was a D or F up to a maximum of 4 courses, not to exceed 18 hours. Only the second grade will be included in the calculation of the retention/graduation grade point average. The original grade will still appear on the student’s permanent record, but will not be calculated into the student’s retention/graduation GPA or total hours earned.

The form to apply the repeat policy is available in the Academic Records office, Buchanan Hall 330. It can be completed any time between enrolling in the class and any time after it has been completed, as long as it’s done before graduation. **** Please note that students are not supposed to repeat C’s. There is not really anything to stop them from doing so, but they will not earn credit for repeating a C, and they cannot apply the repeat policy to a C. ****
