METHODS OF SOCIAL RESEARCH Prerequisite: 1113 or permission of instructor. Basic elements of the scientific method as applied to the study of human group life. Attention is given to the problem of conceptualization, the formulation of hypotheses, designs of proof, the interdependence of theory and fact and the techniques and procedures for assembling and ordering of data.
