Courses Taught: Crime and Delinquency -
Dr. Chapple followed a long and winding road to OU after years spent on the faculties of the University of Nebraska and the University of Cincinnati. She does research on gender differences in the causes of crime and delinquency, with particular attention to group differences in peer behavior and parenting practices. She also does research on the long-term effects of child abuse and neglect on criminal offending. She has authored several articles and her work appears in outlets such as Justice Quarterly, Social Science Research, Violence & Victims and Deviant Behavior.
She lives in Norman with her husband and two, young daughters.
