GRADE RATIONALE
What is an "A" grade?

An attitude that is uncompromisingly positive.
Quality is frequently demonstrated.
Superior responsibility, never misses or late.

What is a "B" grade?
Excellent work in all categories, or superior work in some areas,
while average in other areas.
Frequently willing to go above and beyond what is required.
A solid positive attitude.
Quality is often achieved.
Excellent responsibility, rarely misses or late.

What is a "C" grade?
Acceptable work in all categories.
Willing to fulfill the course requirements.
Demonstrates a positive attitude.
Quality is occasionally achieved.
Acceptable responsibility, misses one or two classes, makes calls but just barely on time.

What is a "D" grade?
Inconsistent work in many areas, some good, some bad, or work generally weak, but still complete.
Having difficulty fulfilling basic course requirements.
Inconsistent attitude, possibly positive but work is often weak.
Quality is infrequently achieved.
Weak on responsibility, misses three or four classes, misses call, often late.

What is an "F" grade?
Frequently poor or incomplete work.
Not fulfilling basic course requirements.
Inconsistent attitude, possibly positive but work is poor.
Quality is infrequently, if ever, achieved.
Poor on responsibility, often missing and/or late.

SPEAKING ONLY THE OBVIOUS: Being inconsistent with your work will adversely affect your grade. Being absent a lot (more than four times) will adversely affect your grade. Demonstrating a poor or inconsistent attitude will adversely affect your grade. Demonstrating inflexibility in new circumstances and with people will adversely affect your grade. Not completing homework or taking a test will adversely affect your grade.

“Digging on learning” will positively impact your grade. Reading and studying all reading assignments will positively impact your grade. Demonstrate a positive attitude towards the new, the difficult, “the process” will positively impact your grade! Etc. etc.
