Topics include welfare reform, Republicans putting families first in budget, economic conditions, and Bill Clinton. Correspondents include House Republican Conference and the Republican staff of the Joint Economic Committee.

F 2:   Briefings, Health Care, 1993-1994.

Topics include comparison of the Clinton health care plan and House Republican plan, medical savings account, sleep disorder, senior citizens, rural health care reform, and impact of Clinton plan on small business and on women. Correspondents include House Republican Conference, James Saxton, Porter Goss, Pat Roberts, Jim Nussle, Jim Ramstad, Jan Meyers, Deborah Pryce, and Jennifer Dunn.

F 3:   Briefings, Clipper Chip, 1994.

Folder contains material on pros and cons of Clinton administration proposal to put encryption chips into telephones and computers to guarantee privacy. Federal government would keep the “keys” allowing it to decode messages per court order. Correspondents include Bill McCollum and Don Edwards.

Folders contain memos, charts, correspondence, and various printed material on issues important to the different constituents in Armey’s district in Texas for meetings in April 1995. Topics include Contract with America, small business, Medicare, telecommunications, and emissions testing. Folder 6 has several letters which Richard K. Armey signed along with numerous other members of Congress. These letters were typically to other members of government or to important business and professional people. The letters are on a variety of topics. Folder 7 includes a list of legislation Armey co-sponsored as well as numerous documents issued by the House Republican Conference. Correspondents include George W. Gekas (Folder 6) and Tom DeLay (Folder 6).

Folder also contains miscellaneous materials from the House Republican Conference, a flyer on education by Pete Hoekstra, and an analysis of the Clinton budget for fiscal year 1998.

Topics include Ida Longo, education, patient’s rights, Y2K, conservatism, environment, welfare, national park spending, taxes, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, “reachback” tax, and banking. Other items in the folder include a leaflet from TRIM as well as one from the National Impeach Clinton A.C.T.I.O.N. Committee. Folder also has a Dear Colleague letter from Ralph Regula.
