Danney Goble Collection
1980s
5 cubic feet
This collection consists mainly of photocopies of the research materials
collected for the autobiography Little Giant: The Life and Times of
Speaker Carl Albert, which was written with help from historian Danney
Goble. While many of the items were drawn from various collections housed
at the Carl Albert Center, there are also documents collected from other
repositories as well as items from Speaker Albert's McAlester office. There
is also a 700-page typescript of the Speaker's personal recollections.
For additional information on Albert, see the Carl
Albert Collection and the Carl Albert Photograph
Collection. For more information on the archival holdings, please contact
the Carl Albert Center.
