This collection consists of the research materials generated for two books written by political scientist Ronald Peters. Most of the items were used to support his book, The American Speakership: the Office in Historical Perspective (Baltimore: Johns Hopkins, 1990. In addition, the collection has information that documents theUniversity of Oklahoma's Centennial Symposia on Leadership and also includes a draft of the book that resulted: The Next Generation: Dialogues Between Leaders and Students.
