Mentoring
During the on-campus portion of the program, Fellows work closely with
the Center's three full-time faculty members. Because new fellowships are
limited to one or two each year, the nearly equal faculty to student ratio
affords Fellows with ample personal attention. Additionally, the relatively
large number of faculty in the Political Science Department provides Fellows
with a wide range of experience and expertise to draw upon as they pursue
their academic goals
Financial Support
In addition to covering the full tuition and fees of its Graduate Fellows,
the Carl Albert Center provides Fellows with a monthly stipend, a book
allowance, and other support. The goal of the Center is to alleviate, as
much as possible, the financial burdens of graduate study to enable students
to devote their time and energy to academic excellence. The total value
of the five-year Fellowship is more than $120,000.
