We have Volunteers!

Each year, The Big Event recruits thousands of volunteers who disperse throughout the Norman and surrounding communities on the day of The Big Event. This is an opportunity for your organization to rely on hardworking and dedicated volunteers to assist your organization with a multitude of tasks. It is projected that more than one out of every five OU students will participate in the Big Event—this adds up to 10,000 strong hands and 5,000 compassionate hearts.

We have Supplies!

The Big Event also takes pride in our ability to provide a number of supplies to nearly all of the sites where we send volunteers. Over the past six years, the Big Event has supplied various non-profit organizations with supplies such as shovels, rakes, spring flowers, mulch, paint, trash bags, ladders, hammers and other small non-power tools, window cleaner, and paper towels. Generous sponsorships have made this possible, and it is one more way we are saying “thank you” to our great community. What Jobs/Tasks Can We Do?

The Big Event can accommodate a variety of needs. We can do anything from general landscaping to small-scale construction projects. Some of the things we have done at job sites in years past include painting, building playgrounds, taking inventory, general clean-up projects, and visiting with veterans. We strongly encourage you to let us assist your organization in completing a project you have been putting off due to time or money constraints. There are few jobs too big, and none that are too small. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your organization and ways we can assist you.
