| In the spirit of unity
and civic engagement, we invite you to become a part
of the largest student-run community service effort
in the nation. The Big Event is currently operational
on more than 68 university campuses across the nation,
campuses that, on one day each spring, send masses of
student volunteers into their surrounding community
to say thank you by performing a multitude of service
tasks.
In conjunction with Texas A&M University, The University
of Oklahoma is currently launching a nation-wide expansion
initiative. Whether your university is small or large
or whether your surrounding community is ultra-urban
or suburban, The Big Event has a place on your campus
and in your community.
Our staff is fully committed to assisting you in the
process—from start to finish—of establishing
The Big Event on your campus. Brad Kinder or Renee Montgomery,
OU’s Expansion Co-Chairs, are the two individuals
charged with helping your school do just that. If you
are interested in adopting The Big Event at your university,
please contact us by e-mailing at
or calling at (405) 325-7912.
Our dream is for The Big Event to become a national
tradition—one that will eventually impact hundreds
of communities around the nation. We look forward to
working with you! |
