Mission

The Personnel Policies Committee exists because of our charter by the Staff Senate at OU. Our mission statement charges us as follows:
Committee members research, discuss, report, and make recommendations on current and proposed policy as charged by Staff Senate or as identified by individual members of the committee in order to preserve the integrity and relevance of current protocol/practices to OU Staff.

Current Issues

• At the March 8th, 2010 meeting, the Norman Campus Faculty Senate approved, with six opposed and two abstentions, the following resolution supporting modernization of the policy for smoking and/or the usage of tobacco. The Faculty Senate also approved unanimously a resolutions regarding Firearms on Campus. Find out more.
