Arab Student Association at the University of Oklahoma has been created in spring 2002. The main event for the ASA at that semester was the Spring 2002 Palestine Week. A group of Arab students decided the necessity of having an informative week of activity to educate OU students as well as Norman community about the other side of the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. The side that is not shown in the US media. The week was given a title " 54 years of struggle ."
This activity was the first one in the age of ASA, and it took the members two weeks of hard working and preperation. The week consisted of a discussion panel with 4 speakers. Our speakers are: Dr. Joshua Landis, Dr. Robert Worrior, Mrs. Julie Gozan and Mr. Steven Salaita.
