| Officer Position | Description of the Office |
| President | The
President has several main responsibilities 1. Reserve a room for meetings for the year 2. Create a schedule of events, including organizational and professional meetings, social events, and anything else the organization would like to do. 3. Contact firms to find presenters for the professional meetings 4. Keep the Advisor (Carol Knapp) and the other officers aware of what is going on 5. Delegate duties to other officers as needed Essentially, the President is the go-to person for firms, students, and professors who have questions. There are many little things the President does that can come up at any time. The President needs to be an organized responsible person who is good in problem solving, staying cool under pressure while still getting the job done. I would estimate that the time spent on Presidential duties varies between 5-10 hours a week. This includes emailing, updating members lists, scheduling events, etc. |
| Vice President | To put it easily,
the Vice President does whatever the President needs to be
done. This year the Vice President was in charge of the volunteer activity. Usually the President will delegate one or more activities for the Vice President to set up such as the community service, the social or something else. They are there to assist the President and any of the other officers who need help. |
| Secretary | The secretary is in charge of making and keeping track of attendance sheets. They are the ones who will update the attendance sheets and at the end of the semester see who has fulfilled all the requirements for attending meetings. They also can be assigned other duties from either the President or the Vice President. |
| Recorder | The Recorder usually takes minutes at all officer and general meetings. However, in the past we have not done this so this position may be changed to editor/historian. That person would be responsible for updating the board, the website, and any other publications the group may need such as flyers or newsletters. |
| Treasurer | The treasurers main responsibility is to collect dues and turn them in to Linda Moore. They keep track of who has and has not paid. |
| Pledge Chair | The pledge chair is the go-to person for all pledges. They keep track of who the pledges are, keep their information sheets, and keep track of where everyone is in their progress to becoming a member. The pledge chair sets up tutoring dates for the pledges, which involves contacting the managerial and financial professors and working with them to find the best times to have tutoring. Essentially everything the President does for members, the Pledge Chair does for the pledges. They answer questions and give the pledges guidance. |
