NEWS
BINGO THIS WEDNESDAY.
St. Anselm’s will host bingo
THIS WEDNESDAY, APRIL 5th at 2pm
at Whispering Pines.
This will be our last Bingo day
until the Fall
semester. Join your friends at Canterbury
around
1:30pm to carpool or meet at the
nursing home at 1:45.
This is the principal outreach ministry
of our
community and we could use your
help. It’s fun and it
brings joy to the residents of Whispering
Pines and to
volunteer participants as well.
SENIOR CANTERBURIANS
HONORED. St. Anselm's honored
graduating seniors Sunday during
the weekly Eucharist.
Angie Helt and Debbie VanWinkle
were given separate
volumes by theologian Marcus Borg
as a remembrance of
their time at St. Anselm's. The
community prayed for
them, and blessed them for a life
of continual
learning. Others graduating include
Lindsey Williams,
Rachel Hess and Kate Carney.
SUMMER AT ST.
ANSELM'S. The building will be open
all
summer long. Michael, Tess, Mark,
David (and anybody
else who wants to help) will be
doing some substantial
renovations - like refinishing the
wood floors
upstairs, painting and retexturing
walls and
redesigning the furniture layout
in the upstairs
living room. Exterior plans include
general upkeep,
weeding, watering and light repairs.
Worship will continue
on Wednesdays (5:30) and Sundays
(5pm). Sunday dinners will resume
in August.
The ENews will
only be published periodically during
the summer. You can keep up with
what's happening by
visiting our website. We'll post
pictures and news
there.
Best wishes for
final exams. Stop by before you
leave
town and say so long. Have a wonderful
summer holiday.
If you're in town for the summer,
put on your grungies
and come help out.
