ABOUT US
Crimson Club members are The University of Oklahoma's student ambassadors. We come from all corners of the University, diverse in majors, background, and ethnicity. Each member has been carefully identified as having outstanding leadership potential and a great pride in the University. Our exceptional students actively support the University's long range goals for advancement and development. Crimson Club members also strive to enhance the image of OU while gaining valuable and memorable experiences.
What we do...
Our organization's main function is to pass on OU's unique history and traditions to its members, who in turn share their knowledge with the university community, special groups, and visiting dignitaries. In this way, Crimson Club ensures that the historical background of The University of Oklahoma will be remembered. The ambassadors promote the University by assisting with such activities as:
-- Hosting special guests and dignitaries, with past guests including Queen Noor of Jordan, Rudy Guilianni, Tom Brokaw, Dr. Henry Kissinger, Former President George Bush, The Lady, The Baroness, Margaret Thatcher, Alumnus Michael Price, and author Colleen McCullough
-- Hosting Sky Suites during home football games
-- Assisting with conferences and special events, such as Presidential Sponsored Speakers and the Foreign Policy Conference
-- Helping to organize commencement activities
-- Coordinating the President's Trophy competition, a prestigious award which encourages and recognizes exceptional student contributions to the University community
-- Providing historical tours to special groups, alumni, and dignitaries visiting The University of Oklahoma
