Soul Searchers: Zeta Zeta Founders
In 1967, the University of Oklahoma was the location of a most unique event. On October 23, a group of African
American male students chartered not just another chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., but began a
tradition which current chapter brothers feel was the development of the century.
The Zeta Zeta Chapter has continued to be at the forefront for African American student scholarship and
leadership on the University of Oklahoma's Campus, as well as the community.
We thankfully recognize our Nine Founders:
- Brother Phail Wynn, Jr
- Brother Walter Mosely
- Brother Jerry Johnson
- Brother Jacob Simmons
- Brother Eddie Hinton
- Brother Elmer Jackson
- Brother Linton James
- Brother Farrel Stevenson
- Brother Chris Clayton
