NORMAN, OKLAHOMA -- Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity's Alpha Alpha colony begins
the fall 1997 semester by moving into a new house in South Greek Row, at
the site of the former Sigma Tau Gamma house. With over forty members,
they are well on their way to their ultimate goal: receiving final approval
for re-chartering by the Fraternity National Headquarters.
Originally chartered in 1923, and briefly dormant during World War II,
Alpha Alpha was a part of OU's Greek community until the chapter closed
in the late 1980's. With support from its loyal alumni and National Headquarters,
Alpha Alpha was re-colonized in November 1996.
