Phi Fraternity
GREEK-LETTER CHAPTER NAMES
Chapters that are active are shown in bold type. Those Chapters
and colonies who have pages on the World Wide Web are linked. Inactive
chapters are shown in italics.
** Denotes a former Alpha Kappa
Pi chapter inactive at the time of the 1946 consolidation between Alpha
Sigma Phi and Alpha Kappa Pi, never active in Alpha Sigma Phi.
*** Though these two chapters were established
at the same university, there appears to be no relation between the two.
Colonies and interest groups where there were previous chapters of Alpha
Sigma Phi are shown as active chapters in the regular chapter list, even
though they do not yet have full chapter status.
NOTE: No chapter in Alpha Sigma Phi is named Omega,
as it traditionally signifies "the end". Deceased brothers are referred
to respectfully as having joined Omega Chapter. All former Alpha Kappa
Pi chapters are based on their original chartering date in Alpha Kappa
Pi, while former Phi Pi Pi and Alpha Gamma Upsilon chapters have chartering
dates from their chartering as Alpha Sigma Phi chapters. Several local
fraternities were allowed to retain chapter designations that reflected
the name of their existing local.
