New Members

Bid Day ~ The joy of being a Delta Gamma begins with receiving the bid.  After getting a bid, new members meet at the Delta Gamma house to begin their new member process!  The whole chapter goes out to an activity to celebrate the new pledge class.  Exciting activities are planned to celebrate the decision these young woman have made to become a Delta Gamma and allow them to start bonding with one another.

New Member Process ~ Delta Gamma’s new member process is designed to help new members adjust to sorority life.  It is extremely beneficial to each young woman because it helps her develop bonds instantly between sisters as well as learn more about the sorority.  Many events are planned to help each new member adapt and feel comfortable in the sorority.

Big/Lil ~ One of the most exciting events as a new member of Delta Gamma is receiving a big sister.  Big sisters help their little sisters adapt and transition to sorority life.  Each week for a month or two after a new member receives her bid, she is paired with a different active member to bond with over the course of the week.  At the end of that time, big sisters and little sisters are matched together.  Little sisters find out their big sisters and sorority family in a surprising and exciting way at the end of the big sis/little sis process.  These families give the new members instant bonds to help adjust to sorority life, as well as amazing, lifelong friendships.
