History of Kappa Sigma
The Kappa Sigma Fraternity has a long and distinguished history, both as a national fraternity and as an organization on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. Kappa Sigma can trace its roots back over 600 years to Bologna, Italy and over 130 years back to its American founding at the University of Virginia in 1869. The Gamma-Kappa Chapter of Kappa Sigma at OU has been a fixture in the Greek community for 100 years, the longest continual chapter at OU. With continued successful rushes and the strong support of out alumni base, Kappa Sigma will thrive on the OU campus for years to come as well.
