The University of Oklahoma Student Association Graduate Student Senate

The Graduate Student Senate (GSS) is part of the University of Oklahoma Student Association (UOSA). The Graduate Student Senate, along with the Undergraduate Student Congress (USC), comprises the legislative branch of the UOSA student government.
GSS represents every graduate student enrolled in any of the programs offered by the Graduate College at the University of Oklahoma, giving them an official voice in the student government. The Graduate Student Senate, as part of the legislative branch, participates in the allocation of funds from the student activity fee. A significant part of these funds goes to student organizations around campus.
Every year, a portion of the UOSA budget is trusted upon the Graduate Student Senate for two important initiatives: Outstanding Graduate Student Awards and the Research and Conference Grants. These programs recognize the valuable contributions that graduate students at OU make in their fields and to the university community, as well as provide additional support for the research activities of graduate students.
