Research and Conference Grants
The Graduate Student Senate (GSS) offers grants to assist graduate students of the University of Oklahoma in research and scholarly participation. These grants are designed to supplement other finantial resources available to graduate student to do research and encourage them to attend and/or present their work at professional conferences, creative exhibitions as well as career fairs.
The Fall 2008 grant process is for Research Activities and Conferences/Creative Exhibitions taking place from July 1st, 2008 through June 30, 2009.
Each academic year, graduate students are eligible to receive up to $300.00 in a research grant and $300.00 in a conference and creative exhibitions grant.
The amount awarded to each student will vary depending on the funding available as well as the number of qualified applicants.
Eligibility Requirements:
- The applicant must be enrolled in a graduate program at the University of Oklahoma during the semester in which he/she receives the Research and Activity grant.
- The applicant must be from an Academic Unit (Department / School / College) in good standing with Graduate Student Senate.
The following departments are NOT in good standing for the Fall 2008 process: TBA.

Submit your applications to the Graduate Student Senate Office – Room 187 (Conoco Student Leadership Center) in the University of Oklahoma Memorial Union. Funds will be authorized by GSS mandate and a list of award recipients and amounts will be posted on the GSS website.
