Meet the Staff
Keren Ayalon, Hillel Executive Director
 Keren Ayalon is the Executive Director of the University of Oklahoma Hillel.
She is excited to be a part of the Oklahoma Jewish community,
and is looking forward to helping it grow and get stronger!
A native of Brooklyn, New York, she received a BS in Sports
Information and Communication from Ithaca College, and an MS
in Sport Management from the University of Illinois.
After finishing her masters degree, Keren decided
to apply for a Hillel Jewish Campus Service Corps (JCSC)
Fellowship, and she's been working in the Jewish community
ever since. A fluent Hebrew speaker with Israeli roots,
Keren spent her first year as a JCSC Fellow at Tel Aviv University
in Israel. She then returned to her native New York and spent
four years at the Queens College Hillel, ending her tenure
there as the Associate Director. After a couple of years
teaching Judaica and Hebrew to children of all ages, she
returned to the Hillel world and spent two years at the Center
for Jewish Life/Hillel at Princeton University before moving
to Norman with her husband Yaron, who completed a PhD in Near
Eastern Studies at Princeton and is now teaching at OU. Keren
loves meeting with students and faculty, so please feel free to

Holly McMannes, Jewish Student Life
Coordinator

McMannes and I’m your new Jewish Student Life Coordinator. I
just recently graduated from the University of California
Berkeley where I was a Political Science major, a Kappa Alpha
Theta, and the founder and president of the Jewish Greek
Council. I’m very excited to be here in Oklahoma and cannot wait
for the school year to begin! I look forward to meeting all of
you and working with you to build our Jewish Community here at
OU… and not to mention become an expert on OU traditions and
cheers along the way. If I’m not here at the Hillel building
then I’m probably off trying to find a coffee buddy (or studying
for the LSAT), but either way, please feel free to contact me,

Lena Frost, Administrative Assistant
I'm Lena Frost and I have been the Administrative Assistant for Hillel for the past
four years. It has been great working here and I have learned a lot. I grew up in Ponca City and received a B.A. from OU and an M.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I met my husband from Hobart, OK. We have two children--Jeremy, who lives in Derry, NH and is employed by Control4 and Lydia, a
recent OU graduate. We lived in Tuscaloosa, AL for 27 years and came back to Norman to "semi-retire." It is a real treat for us to be able to go to OU football and men's and women's basketball games again. I've enjoyed needlework of various types since childhood and became an avid quilter about 19 years ago. I'm active in both the Norman and Central Oklahoma Quilters Guilds. When I'm not cooking or spoiling our toy poodle, Missy, I'm usually found with a needle in hand, enjoying my hobby.
