ARTICLE I - Title
- The title of this association shall be the Korean Student Association

ARTICLE II - Purpose
- To promote friendship and mutual understanding among all its members through cultural, educational and social programs and activities. And to give needed facilities to Korean students, staff, and faculty members, and their families in this area. To act a key role for the enhancement of international education programs through a close cooperation with other related associations in KSA.

ARTICLE III - Membership Requirements
- 1. Membership is open to all University of Oklahoma students, staff and faculty members.
- 2. Membership or participation cannot be based on race, color, religion, national origin, age sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, marital status, or political belief. No discrimination based on gender unless the very purpose of the organization would be defeated if sex discrimination were not allowed, provided however, that the purpose of the organization must be consistent with public policy as established by prevailing University Community standards.
- 3. Korean Student Association shall have as an advisor a full time member of the University faculty or staff.

ARTICLE IV - Meetings
- 1. General Meeting: There shall be at one general membership meeting each year which is to be held within 15days before the last day of the spring semester.
- 2. The president should call each member within 7days before general meeting.
- 3. The president who should inform within 7days before meeting may call special membership meetings.
- 4. Special membership meetings may be called by a petition of least 10 KSA members.

ARTICLE V - The election and organization of the officer
- 1. The association has a president. The election of the president is held during the annual general meeting, and the person who holds the majority becomes the president. If there is no one who holds the majority, the person who holds the majority in the final vote becomes the president.
- 2. The president holds office for a year, and can extend his/her term once.
- 3. The president appoints a vice-president and a manager to run the association efficiently.
- 4. The president can make, change, and abolish the organization and departments, and appoint advisers and officers if it is necessary.
- 5. The organization must have an advisor who is a full time member of the University faculty of staff.

ARTICLE VI - The right and obligation of the officer
- 1. The president should follow the rule of the KSA.
- 2. The president represents the association, and has a right to execute the budget of the KSA according the agreement of officers.
- 3. The vice-president or the manager will get the right of the president if the president is away (temporary home-coming, travel, etc).
- 4. The officer should follow the rule of the KSA, and help the president.

ARTICLE VII - On the occurrence of the president’s vacancy
- 1. On the occurrence of the president’s vacancy following reasons;
* Permanent return to home country
* Transfer to other institution
* Any condition that the president is incapable to perform the duties given
Vice-president or general secretary will replace the position of the president and execute temporary authority.
- 2. With an approval of the majority of KSA officials and members, KSA will hold an extraordinary general meeting to elect new president.

ARTICLE VIII - The non-confidence resolution on the president
- 1. The president can be impeached if more than 10 KSA members propose.
- 2. An extraordinary general meeting will be held within 15 days after proposal in order to make a resolution.
- 3. The attendance of more than two third of KSA members will be necessary to hold the extraordinary general meeting.
- 4. The consent of more than two third of participants will be necessary to validate the impeachment proposal.
- 5. In the case of the president’s impeachment, new president will be elected through the voting process mentioned in article 5 and will continue impeached president’s term.

ARTICLE IX - The right and obligation of members
- 1. All members have the right and obligation to attend the regular meetings as well as the extraordinary general meeting.
- 2. The voting right will be limited to regular members.
- 3. All members are obliged to pay membership fee.

ARTICLE X - Account items
- 1. The fiscal year begins at the first regular general meeting and ends at the last general meeting.
- 2. The amount of regular membership fee will be determined through the regular general meeting.
- 3. The president is obliged to report the balance of account at the regular general meeting.

ARTICLE XI - Resolution matter
- 1. Decision by majority
- 2. In the case of an equal number of votes, the president have the right to make a decision

ARTICLE XII - Revision of the Articles
- 1. The KSA articles can be amended, deleted, or added through the general meeting.
- 2. The articles must not be revised through the extraordinary general meeting
- 3. Following the president’s official announcement, the revised articles will be validated.

ARTICLE XIII- A Preemption Clause
- 1. The KSA constitution is subject to all provisions of the University of Oklahoma Student Code.
- 2. KSA shall comply with all local, state, and federal laws.
