There are no hotel accommodations on the OU Campus, but the following hotels are closest to the Forum building and have agreed to give a conference rate. When you call to make reservations, ask for the Model UN rate:

Marriott Residence Inn - (405) 366-0900 (3 - 4 miles) - Ask for Sales Office
Best Western - (405) 701-4011 (2 - 3 miles)

Both hotels offer a continental breakfast.

 

Rules

1.All delegates will attend all meetings unless given special permission by the Secretary-General.

2.Delegates must follow the Diplomatic Code of Ethics and show respect for equipment, facilities, delegates, and staff during the conference.

3.PROFESSIONAL DRESS OR COUNTRY NATIVE DRESS IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES DURING THE CONFERENCE. Delegates not dressed properly will not be recognized by the committee chair. Delegates must wear proper attire during ALL committee sessions, INCLUDING SATURDAY.

4.Delegate credentials must be worn at all times and worn on the upper left portion of the chest.  (Do not  wear elsewhere on your body.)

5.Alcohol, illegal drugs and tobacco are prohibited.  Any delegate caught in possession of these substances will be dismissed from the conference immediately.

6.Do not bring large amounts of money or valuables.  Model UN and the University of Oklahoma are not responsible for lost articles.

7.All delegates will act in a courteous manner at all times.

 

Parking

Parking for the Model United Nations of the Southwest conference will be at the OCCE  Thurman White Forum building.  Participants may park in the parking lot on the south side of the Forum building, which is located on the corner of Timberdell and Asp. All vehicles must have a OCCE visitor parking permit which are available at no charge upon check in at the conference.
