Dear Campus Club Students:
As you may have already read in Impact, ARI is once
again holding its essay contest for business undergraduate and business graduate
students on Ayn Rand's novel Atlas Shrugged. ARI has mailed flyers to over 20,000
college professors and department offices throughout the United States, and
is now asking those who are interested to help promote the contest. Many students
and campus clubs are already promoting Objectivism by distributing materials
on their campus. The new Atlas Shrugged essay competition is another excellent
opportunity for you and/or your club to spread the ideas of Ayn Rand. There
are several things you can do to accomplish this, some are:
* Distributing flyers
to students who might be interested in the contest
* Distributing flyers to
business department offices (i.e., business, finance, management)
* Distributing
flyers to business faculty whom you know
* Including a link on your club's website to the Atlas Essay Competition website
(HA!)
This list is by no means exhaustive,
and I'm sure some of you will think of other creative and effective ways to
promote the contest on your campus. The flyers are available now, and the deadline
to submit entries to the contest is February 15 (and yes, those of you enrolled
in business programs are eligible to enter). Please realize that you are under
no obligation to promote the contest in any way. However, if you are interested,
promptly reply to this e-mail and tell me how many flyers you would like and
where and how you plan to distribute them. Complete details about the Atlas
competition are available on our website at http://www.aynrand.org/contests/.
If you have any questions, please contact Sean Saulsbury at ARI (800-365-6552
x209) or e-mail seans@aynrand.org.
Sincerely,
Sean Saulsbury
