Boren Cup 26 Information
What Is Boren Cup?
Boren Cup is a tournament for high school teams that uses questions from or similar to the NAQT Invitational Series. Teams will compete in divisions based on school enrollment. Boren Cup draws primarily from schools in Oklahoma, but schools from Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Texas have also attended.
When this event uses NAQT Invitational Series questions, the top fifteen percent of the field will earn a berth to the NAQT High School National Championship Tournament. More information is available here.

- Time: Registration is from 8:15-8:45 AM, the rules meeting is from 8:45-9:00 AM, and the tournament begins at 9:00 AM.

- Fees: to be determined officially, but will resemble the one listed below
- Base Fee: $60 per team
- Additional Team Discount: -$10 per each additional team
- Buzzer System Discount: -$10 per working buzzer system
Registering for Boren Cup 26
If your school would like to play in Boren Cup 26, then please contact Brian Morrow at bmorrow@ou.edu to register. When you register, please list the number of teams and buzzer systems that your school will send and the classification in which your school will compete. The registration deadline is to be determined. Make checks and purchase orders payable to Oklahoma Academic Team.
Large Schools: all schools in Classes 6A and 5A in OSSAA Academic Bowl, all private schools, all charter schools, all magnet schools
Medium Schools: all schools in Classes 4A and 3A in OSSAA Academic Bowl, all freshmen-only teams from large schools
Small Schools: all schools in Classes 2A and A in OSSAA Academic Bowl, all freshmen-only teams from medium schools
For a particular classification to be used, at least eight schools must be registered for it. Classifications without at least eight schools will be combined.
