Becoming a member of PANAM is
quite simple. You can sign up and pay at the International Student
Orientation held every semester, you can attend a PANAM meeting
(held every 2 weeks), or you can contact PANAM by e-mailing: panam@ou.edu.
The membership will guarantee
you these privileges along with more to come: admittance to all
PANAM activities, limited reserved seating at the PANAM night,
FREE VIP entrance to all PANAM parties, VIP entrance for 1 guest
(not free) to all PANAM parties, and more!

The activities organized by PANAM
are open to all members for free as well as their friends for
a small fee. These activities are fun, and a great way to interact
with new people and make new friends. Generally transportation
is provided, as well as food. Past PANAM activities have included:
Parties, Soccer Tournaments, Paintball, Bowling, Volleyball, Ice
Skating, Banquets, Barbeques, and Movies. This year we are planning
to expand to new and more exciting activities.
The
Pan American Association was founded in 1974. It's main purpose
was to enrich the University community by emphasizing the culture,
heritage, language, and traditions of Iberian-American countries
and cultures. PANAM has accomplished this by organizing various
activities where people from different cultures can interact,
form friendships, and learn from each other. The organization
has an annual PANAM night which features cultural information
as well as performances based upon traditional Iberian-American
coutry dances. Over the years, the association has expanded to
over 200 members annually and continues to grow. These members
are from South America as well as countries from all over the
world. We are also FAMOUS for our amazing parties that have the
best music including: contemporary hits, cultural songs specific
to certain countries, and a wide range of general Latin music
including salsa and merengue. Don't miss your opportunity to take
part in continuing the evolution of PANAM!
