I was born and raised in La Paz until I was 16, when I moved to Washington DC. I attended the Universidad Privada Boliviana in La Paz and George Mason University in Virginia before transfering to OU, where I am now a General Management senior, and hopefully I will be able to do my MBA here as well.

Last year I served as Treasurer in PANAM, and now I'm thrilled to be the President and continue this legacy of unforgettable moments.

I'm passionate about meeting new people from all over the world. I'm always open for new experiences and I hope to share the best of me with everyone around me. I like sports and outdoor activities, and of course, I love to party!
I am fluent in Spanish and English, and I speak a little German. I'm looking forward to an incredible year with PANAM!!!

I am from Lagos, Nigeria, however i was born in washington where i lived for 6 months before returning to Nigeria. A couple years later, I attended highschool in London, England. Afterwards, I took a year off to travel and now I am pursuing an undergraduate degree in Finance and Accounting here at The University of Oklahoma.

I currently have a year and a half left at OU and I wanted my time here to end in one of the most meaninful ways. This is why I joined PANAM, a great organization which not only has an endless number of fun activities for the members, but also is a good place to learn from and about other cultures.

My hobbies are playing football (soccer), swimming and basketball, listening to music and I am in the process of choosing a new language to learn.

I am eagerly anticapating this upcoming year and hope that it is greater than what I am expecting.

I was born in Arlington, Virginia but lived most of my life in Cochabamba, Bolivia. I am currently doing my undergraduate degree in Aviation Management and General Management. I am a certified Private Pilot in Bolivia.Ttherefore, whenever you want to take a ride just call me up.

This is my second year at OU. I arrived as an exchange student from the Universidad Prviada Boliviana and have transfered to the University of Oklahoma beginning Summer 2009. I intend to stay in Oklahoma because there are many Aviation related entities where as a pilot, would help me initiate my dreams.

I intend on doing a Master's degree in Airport Administration. After completing these goals I would like to dedicate my life to the wonderful art of flying. So it would be a good idea to write my name down because I might let you come into the cockpit someday and show you the controls.

One of my favorite hobbies is Sports. I actually play tennis, but I can play any sport that comes to mind. I am a very athletic person that is always trying to have fun with others. I like to go out and meet new people. I can speak 3 languages: English, Spanish, and German. My German is relatively OK but it still needs some practice.

Tyler was born in Amarillo, Texas. He is currently pursuing a undergraduate degree in International & Area Studies. He obtained his associates degree in Biology at Amarillo College, known as the “Yale” of junior colleges.

This is Tyler’s 3rd year at OU and he is looking forward to his senior year. After two years at Amarillo College, he came to OU as a transfer student to obtain a degree in Zoology and to be a Pre-Med student as well. After hanging out with the amazing International Groups on campus, Tyler decided that his path in the medical field had ended and a career in the Drug Enforcement Administration would be better fitting.

Tyler plans on becoming a police officer in Texas after he obtains his degree and then joining the DEA.

Tyler has many hobbies, but his greatest love is playing or watching baseball. He also enjoys playing many other sports and staying active. He loves to hang out with friends and is very personable, he also can’t wait for the upcoming year for PANAM!

Having grown up in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, (the most beautiful city in the States, if you are ever visiting the area give her a call!) Canela moved to Oklahoma to begin her studies at OU in the fall of 2003. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International and Area Studies: Latin America and a minor in Spanish in 2007 and then spent a year teaching Physical Education in a bilingual elementary school in Dallas, Texas. She is now back at OU working on her Master’s in Human Relations.

Canela’s love of study abroad and travel began when she was seventeen and first spent a semester abroad as a foreign exchange in the Patagonia, Argentina. She also studied abroad for a year as a junior in college at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú in Lima. Throughout her five years as a Panam member and officer, Canela has been lucky enough to meet people from all over the world. She has most recently visited OU friends in Bolivia and will soon be planning a trip to visit Ecuador and Colombia!

This is Canela’s second year as Panam’s Sports Chair and she absolutely loves organizing a soccer tournament for the international community every semester (start getting your team together!). In her free time Canela loves to dance, play soccer, and go out to eat with her friends. If you have any ideas for sporting events you’d like attend or sports you’d like to play, you can contact her through email at Canela@ou.edu.

She is seeking her undergraduate degree in Business Administration/Management in Universidad Privada Boliviana in La Paz-Bolivia, where she is a junior. In about one year and a half, Mariana plans to do her Masters degree in Human Relationship Management.

She enjoys dancing, meeting new people, helping others when they are needed, so if you need a good friend with a good advice come and see her. She also enjoys traveling and teaching that is why she would love to teach in the future as a hobby.

Mariana hopes to work on a big industry where she can put into practice everything she learned, hopefully in the human resources area because she is pretty good interacting with people and resolving conflicts with communication.

She also speaks three languages: Spanish, English and French. Her French level is not very high but she would love to practice it.

After joining PANAM her sophomore year, Megan Powers switched from Music Theater to a major in International and Area Studies. She has since spent time in both Mexico and Colombia, and as a result has decided to pursue a career in diplomatic relations.

This semester, Megan begins Russian language courses with hopes of freezing her bum off while perfecting the language both this summer and the year to come.

Megan enjoys good jazz music, salsa dancing, and jumps at the chance of a late night political discussion. She is also a vegetarian, a very grumpy morning person, and an alligator wrestler in her free time.
