Nickname "Qveen"
Every year, near the end of the spring semester, the RUF/NEKS select a new queen. The RUF/NEK Queen is an honorary member. The selection of the Queen is made by the entire active membership of the RUF/NEKS. Candidates are invited to an informational meeting. After the meeting they go through an interview, perform a skit, and make a speech. These activities allow the members to get to know the candidates. At the end of the process the members vote for their favorite. The new Queen is announced at the annual Red & White football scrimmage at the end of spring practices. There the Queen takes her place in the passenger seat of the Sooner Schooner. This year's Queen is Miss Megan Moore. Megan is a sophomore at the University of Oklahoma. She is a nursing major and looks forward to helping others. She is from Okmulgee Oklahoma For More Information on Okmulgee Pat and Jill Moore are the proud parents of this year's Queen. She was born on May 4th, 1984 and if we may so this was one of the brightest day in the history of man. Her favorite color is green and as former Queen Jenn Doughty would tell you that can mean nothing good because it is Slytherin Colors. Her favorite animal is the always adorable pig.
