Obtaining Membership

We have two kinds of membership: Full Membership and Junior Membership. Full Membership is for those who are 17 years of age or older, and it is obtained through a simple payment of $5.00 in dues per semester. This entitles you to all the benefits of membership listed below. Junior membership is for anyone younger than 17, and is $3.00 per semester. This limits the activities the younger members can attend, but only by a small amount.

The first benefit is actually not exclusive to members. OUAS has weekly showings that are open to the public. Bring a friend to the showings! All open showings will be rated on the showings page of this site, but generally will be ones chosen especially to be fine for any audience above 13.

Members, both Full and Junior, exclusively are allowed to vote on club issues, such as new officers.

Only members may participate in OUAS contests.

Only Full Members may attend club parties.

Members will be given a chance to earn a free weekend pass to A-kon (in Dallas). A-kon is one of the largest and longest-lived anime conventions in the United States. Further info on that will be on the convention page and discussed during meetings.
