Leadership Development and Volunteerism
Becky has been at the University of Oklahoma since 1991 working in areas such as leadership education, student activities, and Greek life. She currently directs the center for Leadership Development and Volunteerism to empower students to become effective leaders and engaged citizens. Becky also teaches leadership and higher education courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels for the College of Liberal Studies and the College of Education. She coordinates the university’s student recognition programs, manages the graduate assistant program for the division and serves as the university liaison to Sooner Parents.
Becky has been recognized as the 2007-08 Outstanding Instructor for a University College Seminar, for Outstanding Service to Adult and Higher Education in 2005 by the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies department, as the Distinguished Service Award recipient in 2005 from the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) in Region IV-West and the Regents’ Award for Superior Staff in 2002.
Becky received her bachelor’s degree in advertising and marketing from Oklahoma State University, completed her master’s degree in human resources administration from East Central University and earned her doctorate in adult and higher education administration from the University of Oklahoma in 1993.
